Because my POTS was caused by an infected stage 4 pressure sore that nearly killed me, it has been on my mind that disabled people and those who care about us need support around pressure sore prevention and treatment. With this in mind, I am starting a course on this to coincide with the launch of the functional nutrition services. This is definitely part of health for us, and treatment of pressure sores is about nutrition, infection reduction and healing, and coordinated effort among attendants and others. I think it all fits. This will cover stages of a sore, prevention strategies, treatment strategies, and dealing with feelings around wounds and wound healing.
